Come One, Come All! The 2014 Hexter Howl Fun Run and Carnival is Saturday, October 25th from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. The day's festivities begin with a costumed Fun Run at 9:30 am. The carnival features game booths, bounce houses & all of the enjoyable sights, sounds & tastes of the season.

The "Hexter Howl" is a unique fusion of school pride & community involvement that has become a neighborhood tradition. The Howl is one of our major fundraisers & all proceeds benefit our various Literacy initiatives. Hexter Elementary is a Distinguished DISD school. We were awarded the NCLB Blue Ribbon Award in 2009 & have earned an exemplary rating 5 years in a row!!! These achievements would not be possible without the dedicated & collaborative efforts of our teachers, staff, students & parents!

Growing Strong: Bodies, Hearts & Minds...for college & beyond is our motto. We are excited the Fun Run allows us to promote a lasting tradition of wellness for our students, faculty, parents and neighborhood. We believe engaging our students to become active & responsible learners is the key to their success.

We hope you will join us as we acknowledge & celebrate our school's awesome accomplishments while we raise funds to continue expanding our Literacy programs. Mark your calendar for October 25th and come have a "HOWLing" good time!!
